Community Action Center (CAC) is a nonprofit organization that provides compassionate assistance to individuals and families residing in Sandy Springs and Dunwoody and unites community efforts to respond to those requests. CAC helps members in our community undergoing a financial crisis with basic necessities like food shelter and clothing. The emphasis is on prevention of homelessness and hunger. For the children CAC provides school supplies and summer opportunities.

CAC is supported by 21 local congregations who provide financial support and are a source of volunteers, food and other needed donations. The Community Action Center has been in operation since 1987, serving residents of the Sandy Spring-Dunwoody community in times of need.
